FAQs

Find answers to common questions about our professional therapy services. If you don't see what you're looking for, we're happy to help - just reach out!

Our licensed therapists use evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs. We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions using proven methods like CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused approaches.

In sessions, you'll work collaboratively with your therapist to understand your challenges, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies for change. The first session focuses on understanding your concerns and creating a personalized treatment plan. Subsequent sessions build on your goals at a comfortable pace.

Therapy duration varies based on your individual needs and goals. Many clients see progress in 8-12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll regularly check in on your progress and adjust the frequency as needed, typically starting with weekly sessions then spacing them out as you improve.

Therapy can help if you're experiencing: persistent sadness or worry, relationship difficulties, major life changes, trouble coping with stress, or wanting personal growth. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit - therapy is valuable for both immediate concerns and ongoing self-improvement.

Many mental health concerns can be effectively treated with therapy alone. If medication might be beneficial, we can refer you to a psychiatrist for evaluation. Any decisions about medication are made collaboratively, with your preferences and values respected.

We accept major insurance plans including Aetna and Cigna. For out-of-network coverage, we provide detailed receipts for possible reimbursement. Self-pay options are available, and we offer adjusted fees based on financial need to ensure access to care.

Your confidentiality is protected by professional ethics and state/federal laws. Information is only shared with your written permission, except in rare situations where there's risk of harm. We use encrypted systems for all records and communications to ensure your privacy.

Getting started is simple - contact us to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This lets you meet the therapist, discuss your needs, and ask questions. If it feels like a good fit, we'll schedule your first session and send intake forms electronically before your appointment.
